I've been doing some "research"

picture via here

To say that i thoroughly enjoy reading blogs is quite the understatement. i've recently decided to refer my blog reading as "research" to sound a little more porductive. these women are inspirational. i love their cool quirky live's and cute babies. their embarrasing moments and their happy happenings with their husbands. their city park strolls and their vintage photography.

a few months ago i came across this witty little lady- nat the fat rat.  and i recently found this article.

also, rockstar diaries (one of my faves) posted this article the other day.

it's pretty cool to see these women become so successful simply by sharing their eventful live's with others via the internet. ah i just love it. don't you? what are some of your favorite blogs and daily reads?

my thankfuls

here is a little list of the things i am especially thankful for this thanksgiving, and I call them "my thankfuls."

enjoy.

hot apple cider
nail polish
stuffing (oh how i love stuffing)
pecan pie
pinterest
Sperry (my puppy)
Kate Spade and her witty and whimiscal design (so very inspirational)
taxi mittens
Christmas music
pandora and groove shark
modern family
Christmas everything
cozy clean sheets
the blanket my grandma made for me years ago (just took it out of the dryer and it's on my lap right now, oh it feels so good)
pretty fabric
sewing machines
mary kay skin care products (I go through about 10 steps every morning and night which takes quite a bit of time, but goodness it feels so good!)
singing (especially when my husband does it)
babies
family
my oh so freakin cool sister
and my absolutely amazing husband. He has been so patient me these past few mornings as I press snooze button over and over procrastinating the inevitable- getting up far too early.  He just smiles and rolls over to cuddle me while I sink deeper into the covers. I hate alarm clocks. like really really hate. In fact...

here is a little list of the thing i am especially not thankful for this thanksgiving, and i call it "my unthankful."

enjoy.

alarm clocks

but lets try not to dwell on our "unthankfuls" this thanksgiving. So bring on the pecan pie and Christmas music- I'm ready for turkey day!

Oh Marcel.

So I saw this little video called "Marcel the Shell with shoes on" a while back.  Weird, but made me giggle, especially when you and your girlfriends randomly quote it.  Well I just discovered part II.  So if you haven't seen Marcel the Shell with shoes on, be sure to watch it before watching Marcel the Shell with shoes on part II.

Who Would've Thought?

I've always known I looked a little young for my age, which I know I will be thankful for when I'm forty... and now on Halloween!! I went trick-or treating this year.   Cake (luke's little sister danielle-she's 11)  asked me to come around the neighborhood with her.  I thought "what the heck! I'll just put on my little cat ears, cat tail, and a little face paint" I gabbed my pink pillow case and went out trick or treating for the first time in ten years! Who would've thought??

Sorry the picture is a little fuzzy- oh and Sperry is biting my cat tail off-not my butt.

Twins.

Check out this oh so cute video of these twins totally having their own little conversation.

Hello Fall.

I woke up this morning to let the puppies outside, (yes, puppies, plural-- we have 4 living with us right now) and when i opened the back door a huge guest of cold air flew in! Yesterday it was 90 degrees and this morning it was 50! 50 degrees in October is definitley the October I'm more familiar with.  Hopefully Texas will keep up this gorgeous fall weather! I'll be one happy gal!

Speaking of kicking off Fall, remember that scene in You've Got Mail where Tom Hanks takes the kids to a little fall festival in New York City?-- The kiddos get their faces painted and win gold fish, balloons, and over sized glasses?  Well this past weekend we went a little fall festival of our own.  We did not win fish or balloons however, but we did get our faces painted!

This is Danielle-- Luke's sister! I really wanted to get my face painted so I told Danielle she had to get her face painted with me so i didn't didn't look so silly.  I mean a 23 year old married girl getting her face painted? come on now.  The oldest kid around was like 7.

Left to right: Luke's pumpkin(he's carving a fish), Danielle's pumpkin(the best looking pumpkin I've ever seen), and my pumpkin!
